5 Things to Declutter This Month (That You Won't Miss)

Hi there,


I did laundry the other day and somehow ended up with seven solo socks, where do they even go?!

If your space has been feeling a little ‘‘off’’ lately, but you don’t know where to start, this is for you.


Let’s keep it simple. No huge cleanouts, no hours of sorting. Just five things you can declutter this month that won’t take much time, and that you definitely won’t miss:


Expired pantry items

Check dates on cans, spices, snacks, and baking supplies. You might be surprised what’s quietly been taking up space.


Old cords and chargers

If you don’t know what it powers, or if it belongs to a phone you had two upgrades ago.. it’s time to let it go. This keeps your electronics stash manageable and helps you efficiently find the cords you do use.


Makeup and toiletries you don’t use

Dried out mascara, half-used samples, that shampoo you tried once and didn’t love… it’s okay to toss it.


Socks with no match

Yes, the other one might show up. But while it’s missing in action, it’s creating clutter. Toss them or give ‘them a ‘‘lost and found bin’’ for socks. Once the bin fills, it’s time to go through and match up/toss the socks that never found their pair.


Pens that don’t work

Grab a scrap of paper and test the pen stash in your office or junk drawer. Keep the winners, ditch the duds.

                                             



Bonus challenge if you're up for it: Mismatched food containers

Take two minutes to match up your Tupperware lids and bottoms.

Because a lid with no container, or a container with no lid isn’t practical, and it’s only adding clutter.


Each of these takes just a few minutes, but together, they can create breathing room you’ll actually feel.
